Meet Emory Edwards

CEO of the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce

Emory A. Edwards is the President and Chief Executive Officer of the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce, a position he has held since 2019. In this role, he leads the Chamber's efforts to support and advocate for the business community across Hudson County, New Jersey. Under his leadership, the Chamber has focused on fostering economic development, enhancing the quality of life in the region, and promoting policies that support local businesses.

A longtime resident of Jersey City, Mr. Edwards is deeply committed to the community. He believes that education is a key driver of future opportunities and has been an advocate for initiatives that support educational advancement and workforce development. His leadership extends beyond the Chamber, as he serves on several civic boards, including the Hudson County Workforce Development Board, the Jersey City Economic Development Corporation, and Rotary. He has also held significant roles in religious and educational institutions, having served as a Trustee, Corporate Secretary, and Treasurer for the Church Divinity School of the Pacific.

Mr. Edwards' academic background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Politics from Washington and Lee University and a Master of Divinity from Yale University. This unique combination of political, theological, and leadership education informs his approach to community service and organizational leadership.

In his personal life, Mr. Edwards resides in Jersey City with his family. He is known for his dedication to public service and his passion for enhancing the economic and social fabric of Hudson County.
