Joe

Joe DeFeo is the Development Director and Outreach Coordinator at Team Wilderness, where he leads fundraising, partnerships, and long-term sustainability efforts in support of equitable access for young people. With over two decades of experience in nonprofit advancement, Joe has worked across youth development, arts, and community-based organizations, helping them grow programs, strengthen infrastructure, and build lasting relationships with funders and supporters.

After an early career in finance, Joe transitioned into the nonprofit sector to focus his work on social impact. He is especially passionate about creating opportunities for young people to build confidence, leadership skills, and a sense of belonging through transformative experiences in nature. Joe lives in Brooklyn and is proud to support Team Wilderness’ mission of empowering youth through outdoor education, inclusion, and adventure.
