Meet Wendy Paul
Executive Director of Jersey City Apartment Owners Association
Wendy Paul serves as the Executive Director of the Jersey City Apartment Owners Association (JCAOA), a position she has held since 2020. In this capacity, she represents the interests of property owners and operators in Jersey City, advocating for policies that support sustainable housing development and responsible property management.
Under her leadership, the JCAOA has been actively involved in discussions surrounding tenant protection measures and housing affordability. Ms. Paul has been a vocal participant in public forums, including NJBIZ Conversations, where she has expressed concerns about recent ordinances providing free legal representation to tenants facing eviction. She argues that such measures prioritize legal assistance over direct solutions like rent subsidies, which she believes are more effective in addressing the root causes of housing instability NJBIZ.
Beyond her role at the JCAOA, Ms. Paul is deeply engaged in the Jersey City community. She has served on the board of Nimbus Dance, a prominent arts organization, since 2017. In 2021, she was appointed President of the Board of Directors, where she chairs the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee and co-chairs the board's Strategic Plan working group NewJerseyStage.com.
Ms. Paul is also pursuing a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree at Rutgers University, reflecting her commitment to public service and community development. Her multifaceted involvement underscores her dedication to fostering a balanced and thriving urban environment in Jersey City.
